Where is the best location to pull this lure in the spread?

Answer:

The Game Changer small can be pulled in a number of different positions, however we personally like to run this lure shape in the short rigger position. The concave face needs slightly more line angle than a plunger or bullet face in order to achieve its optimal swimming motion. If you don't have outriggers, run this lure short, straight to the rod tip (not pinned down) or from a t-top rocket launcher if possible.

Answer:

The concave face of the Mo Head Small requires a bit of line height to create the optimal action. We recommend running it from a short rigger (if available). If you don't have outriggers, running the lure from a T-top direct to the rod tip will be fine. If you do not have a T-top, try running it to the rod tip in very close, not pinned down, in a mouse trap or transom flat line location. SIMPLE ANSWER: You will want to see the lure pop and chug water approx every 3-4 seconds, if the lure is staying sub surface there isn't enough line angle. If the lure is skittering on the surface, its too close or your too fast.

what coating is used on the weights? is it a hard material and does it protect the boat from marks and chips?

Answer:

The coating used on our Dredge fish weights and our deep drop stick weights is the same material as our trolling lure replacement skirts. Its a proprietary formula we have developed over 35 years in manufacturing offshore fishing soft plastics. The material is semi-soft to the touch but extremely durable. The process of coating the weights is to prevent / minimize damage to the gel coat / finish of the boat when dropped or swinging. The coating also stops the weight from sliding around on wet surfaces during rough sea's. We believe our coating to be superior to alternatives on the market with enhanced durability and color retention.

Best way to run this?

The flap teaser chain is fully rigged and ready to fish. We are pulling this from our teaser reels the same way we would pull a squid teaser chain. If you do not have teaser reels, you can run this as a teaser from your outriggers straight to a rod, but you will want to be able to quickly take the chain from a teased fish in order to either pitch it a bait, or present a hooked lure to eat. This is a teaser only, and a really effective one at that!

Absolutely! The double O line of bullet heads are very versatile. They can be pulled on the surface or subsurface with a lead or on a planer. No wrong place to run a bullet lure. Placement and depth often varies depending on target species.

The length of the titanium wire on our popping corks are 8" in length, the cork itself is approx 2.5". These typically work best with jig heads under 1/2oz.
