The half pint 4 pack are simply smaller lures. Both packs come with stainless steel hook-sets, premium mono leaders and a small 4 pocket lure bag, the only difference is the size of the lures. The half pints are smaller with glued skirts, the meat fish 4 pack are slightly larger lures with hand tied skirts. Both are great kits for mahi and blackfin tuna.
Are these Lewers pre-rigged what type and size of hooks are used

The 2XL Marlin Teasers are not currently sold rigged with hooks. They are primarily used as a teaser, however they are simply bigger versions of our trolling lures and are constructed the exact same way. We are not saying you couldn't rig them, and the hook size would likely be 13/0 and above, but at this time we do not offer a Hook rigged version.

We generally run this trolling lure in the short rigger position of our meat fish trolling spread. The flat face works really well with a little line angle that you would see from a short rigger. Without outriggers, run it direct to the rod tip (don't pin it down) or preferably in from the side launchers in your T-Top. If you need a good long rigger bait, check out the El Nino Loco.

Offshore vs inshore is simply terminology | slang used to define the type of species you are targeting when fishing. Offshore is associated with species such as Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, Marlin and various species of open ocean feeders. While inshore is referring to fish that live and feed within close proximity to land, Trout, Flounder, Drum, Snook, etc. There is no exact distance, as that varies from one location to the next. Example: in FL you may be catching Mahi within 5 miles, where as in NC you may be 25-50 miles offshore.

If you purchased the Mo Head Large TBF version, we would recommend a 10/0 or 11/0. We pre-rigged that lure with our 11/0 MUSTAD 7691S on 20' of 530 Xtra Hard. However if you prefer a smaller hook profile, the 10/0 in the Sta-Stuk shown above, or the 10/0 Super Ocean. Both Fudo hooksets are a longer version of a 10/0 so they would work on the Mo Head Chugger Bilfish Foundation edition lure as well.

However you could put a rigged bait behind this chain of your choosing and fish from a rod as opposed to a teaser reel. We do have people who rig the individual Vivid squids with an egg sinker and cable hookset to troll individually as a lure or green stick bait.

If this is fishing on a flat line would you clip it?

If you're running the ECM Chain from the flat line position, we would recommend going straight to the rod tip without "pinning" it down. This allows a bit of line angle that will give the squids a "skittering" action and appear to be fleeing. Its ok if the front 1 (maybe 2) squid skip on the surface, but make the sure the lure is giving you a consist ant methodical 3-4 second chug behind the last squid.
